Finance Manager (Marine )

Job Description & Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of 4 finance staff, providing mentorship, direction, and performance evaluation.

• Oversee full-spectrum accounting functions, ensuring accurate and timely month-end and year-end closing processes for both local Singapore operations and an overseas subsidiary.

• Review journal entries and reconciliation schedules, ensuring financial records are complete, accurate, and aligned with Singapore FRS/IFRS standards.

• Ensure financial reporting complies with all statutory and regulatory requirements.

• Act as the primary liaison with external auditors for both the Singapore entities and the foreign subsidiary, managing the end-to-end audit process.

• File GST returns accurately and on time.

• Review corporate tax calculations for Singapore operations and coordinate with external tax advisors.

• Support transfer pricing documentation and ensure proper treatment of intercompany transactions.

• Serve as a finance business partner to the overseas subsidiary, delivering financial analysis and guidance to support operations while ensuring adherence to internal controls, SOPs, and company policies.

• Prepare and present monthly financial forecasts and annual budgets for the overseas subsidiary.

• Assist with tax computations and transfer pricing documentation for the overseas subsidiary.

• Handle ad-hoc assignments, including government surveys and preparation of management reports as required.

Key Requirements

• Minimum 6–8 years of relevant accounting or finance experience, preferably within a regional or multinational environment.

• Strong technical knowledge of Singapore FRS/IFRS, GST, and corporate tax.

• Experience with audit and tax compliance across multiple legal entities.

• Familiarity with cross-border operations (experience involving the Middle East is a plus).

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.

• Proven experience managing a team.

• Experience with SAP is an advantage.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
