Forklift Operator

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Forklift Operator to join T B C Transportation & Trading Pte Ltd. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in our logistics and warehouse operations. As a Forklift Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials and goods throughout our facilities, ensuring that all operations run smoothly and that safety standards are consistently maintained. This role is essential to our supply chain operations and directly impacts our ability to meet customer delivery deadlines and maintain operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

1. Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently to move, stack, and transport materials and goods within the warehouse or facility

2. Load and unload materials from vehicles, shelves, and storage areas using appropriate handling techniques

3. Inspect forklifts and other equipment before use to ensure they are in safe working condition, and report any maintenance issues or defects

4. Follow all health and safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment

5. Keep accurate records of materials handled, including inventory counts and documentation

6. Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding material movements and warehouse operations

7. Maintain a clean and organised warehouse or storage area to prevent accidents and improve efficiency

8. Assist with other warehouse duties as required, including packing, labelling, and general material handling

What we're looking for

1. Must possess a valid, recognized Forklift Driver's License / Operator Certificate (e.g., WSQ Operate Forklift course completion or equivalent local regulatory license).

2. Proven experience as a Forklift Driver or in a similar material handling role within a warehouse or manufacturing environment

3. Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and a commitment to maintaining safe working practices at all times

4. Excellent hand-eye coordination, spatial awareness, and the ability to operate equipment with precision

5. Physical fitness and the ability to lift and handle materials regularly throughout the day

6. Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment

7. Attention to detail and accuracy when recording inventory and handling materials

8. Reliability and punctuality with a positive attitude towards work

9. Basic computer skills for inventory management systems (preferred)

10. Experience in the logistics or transportation industry is highly valued
