Forklift Operator / Weighing of Cargo

Job Summary

You will coordinate and move palletised cargo using MHE/Forklift. Cargo brought back by our fleet of drivers will have to be weighed prior to handover to the warehouse in order to accurately book flights and export overseas. Your main role will be to facilitate this handover procession by accounting and tallying the goods and weighing them accordingly.

Responsibilities

• Operate MHE/Forklift to move and coordinate palletised cargo safely and efficiently
• Communicate with customer operations to manage and maintain smooth flow of logistics and warehousing handover
• Ensure all cargo are accounted for with no discrepancies
• Fork down heavier tonnage cargo from trucks and weigh them prior to handover
• Work in a team setting to clear any backlog shipments to ensure timely handover according to SOPs.

• Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in packing and data input
• Physically fit to handle manual tasks and operate machinery safely
• Strong communication skills to liaise with team members and customers

Other Information

• On the job training is provided
• Working hours: Monday to Friday, 1pm to 11pm; Saturday, 1pm to 5pm
• Salary range: $2200 to $3000
• Overtime paid hourly
• Sunday or Public Holiday work paid at $120/day
