Job Description - Head of Transport, SEA Cluster

About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and commercially driven Vice President to lead our Transport & Commercial Operations across the region. This executive role will be responsible for driving profitable growth, shaping strategic direction, and delivering operational excellence across complex, multi-country logistics networks.

The successful candidate will play a critical role in expanding market presence, strengthening customer partnerships, and building scalable, high-performing transport capabilities in line with our long-term business ambitions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the commercial strategy for regional transport networks, ensuring subcontractor and owned fleet arrangements consistently deliver against profitability and growth targets.
  • Own senior customer relationships, driving engagement, retention, and long-term strategic partnerships across key accounts.
  • Collaborate with sector and operations leadership to shape and execute strategies that mitigate risks, address capability gaps, and capitalise on organisational strengths.
  • Champion the standardisation and optimisation of Transport Management Systems (TMS), ensuring strong visibility, governance, and control of regional revenue and cost performance.
  • Drive business growth by engaging new clients, positioning innovative, industry-leading solutions, and overseeing complex contract negotiations and implementations.
  • Ensure full compliance with all regulatory, legal, and governance requirements across operations.
  • Identify and lead strategic acquisition opportunities to enhance capabilities, expand geographic reach, and accelerate growth.
  • Serve as the executive sponsor for safety and security, ensuring best-in-class standards for people, assets, and operations.
  • Lead continuous improvement and transformation initiatives to enhance service quality, efficiency, and bottom-line performance.
  • Take executive ownership of growth within existing accounts, unlocking new opportunities and expanding service scope.
  • Build and embed a high-performance culture focused on quality, service excellence, flexibility, and cost discipline.
  • Define and evolve organisational structures, ensuring roles, capabilities, and performance metrics align with business strategy.
  • Provide leadership oversight, regularly reviewing organisational effectiveness and aligning resources to strategic priorities.

Candidate Profile

  • Minimum 15 years of progressive leadership experience within Logistics, 3PL, and/or Supply Chain, with strong sector exposure.
  • Proven track record of operating in international environments, with demonstrated cross-cultural leadership capability.
  • Strong expertise in strategic management, business planning, and execution in complex, multi-country operations.
  • Highly desirable: experience building and scaling transport or logistics businesses from the ground up, particularly across new or diverse geographies.
  • Deep operational knowledge of fleet management, transport planning, and network optimisation, including consolidation models across multiple transport operating frameworks.
  • Strong commercial acumen, with experience managing P&L, cost optimisation, and value creation in logistics networks.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing, scalable teams in fast-paced environments.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, and influencing skills at senior executive level.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; an MBA or postgraduate qualification in Business, Commerce, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management is strongly preferred.
