Job Description - Logistic Manager

  1. Logistics Strategy Development:Develop and implement logistics strategies to optimize processes and improve efficiency.
    Identify areas for cost savings and performance improvement in logistics operations.
  2. Supply Chain Management:Manage the entire supply chain process, including procurement, transportation, inventory management, and distribution.
    Coordinate with suppliers, manufacturers, and distributors to ensure timely delivery of goods.
  3. Inventory Control:Oversee inventory levels and implement strategies to minimize stockouts and excess inventory.
    Utilize inventory management software to track inventory movement and optimize stock levels.
  4. Transportation Coordination:Plan and coordinate transportation routes to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.
    Liaise with carriers, freight forwarders, and shipping agents to ensure on-time delivery of shipments.
  5. Warehousing and Distribution:Manage warehouse operations, including storage, picking, packing, and shipping.
    Optimize warehouse layout and processes to maximize space utilization and productivity.
  6. Compliance and Documentation:Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and laws governing transportation and logistics operations.
    Maintain accurate records and documentation related to shipments, customs, and inventory.
  7. Performance Monitoring and Analysis:Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of logistics operations.
    Analyze data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  8. Team Leadership:Lead and motivate a team of logistics professionals, providing guidance, training, and support.
    Foster a collaborative work environment and promote continuous learning and development.

Job Requirements:

  1. Experience:Several years of experience in logistics or supply chain management, with progressive responsibilities and leadership roles.
    Experience in managing logistics operations in a fast-paced environment.
  2. Technical Skills:Proficiency in logistics management software and systems.
    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools.
  3. Communication Skills:Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    Ability to communicate effectively with internal teams, external partners, and customers.
  4. Leadership Abilities:Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
    Ability to inspire and motivate a team to achieve common goals.
  5. Organizational Skills:Excellent organizational and time management skills.
    Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  6. Adaptability:Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work in a dynamic environment.
    Willingness to work outside of regular business hours, if required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in Logistics or Supply Chain Management (e.g., CLTD, CSCP).
  • Previous experience in a managerial role within the logistics industry.
  • Knowledge of international trade regulations and customs procedures.
