Logistics Officer

Information:

• Working Location: West / East (Need to shift location as and when required – must be comfortable to travel)
• Working hours: 5.5 days or 6 days a week (Depend on schedule) – must be comfortable to work on rotating shift / weekends / overnight shift
• Comfortable to work at height
• Comfortable to work at humid and dusty environment
• Possess experience using order picker

Job duties:

• Monitor inventory levels and track the status of shipments. Eg. Plastic sheets, tapes, honey-comb etc.

• Ensure timely completion of delivery and shipment schedules.

• Airline nets – check for damage, missing pallet rings etc.

• To follow safety regulations and company policies during operations. Eg. Use of safety boots, T-shirt, hand-gloves, security passes etc.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the work area.

• Operate Order Picker with harness to handle cargo or jobs that require the use of such an equipment.

• General warehouse maintenance

• To assist in the loading and unloading of materials.

• To ensure that goods are properly packed and safely stowed.

• Ensure palletised cargo are properly covered with plastic sheets, edge boards and secured with tap

• Ensure nets are properly secured and tightened to secure the cargo during transportation.

• Paste the correct MAWB cargo label as instructed by the Loader onto the correct pallet or container.

• To coordinate with tractor drivers and warehouse teams to maintain correct flow of cargo for export.

• To collect and return all unused material

• Receiving of cargo/goods from trucker

• Sorting of cargo/goods by shipment destination

• To ensure all inbound cargo/goods, together with supporting documents are thoroughly checked upon receiving.

• Any discrepancy(s) for inbound and outbound cargoes must be immediately reported to the superior and documented.

• Documents preparation as and when required

• Perform any other duties as assigned.
