Job Description - LOGISTICS PROJECT MANAGER

The Logistics Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing logistics operations and transportation projects to ensure the timely, cost-effective, and efficient movement of goods. The role oversees project execution, resource allocation, vendor coordination, compliance with regulatory requirements, and continuous improvement of logistics processes.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Plan, organize, and manage logistics projects from initiation through successful completion.
  2. Develop project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
  3. Coordinate transportation activities, fleet operations, warehouse operations, and supply chain processes.
  4. Monitor project milestones and ensure delivery within approved timelines and budgets.
  5. Liaise with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, freight forwarders, and internal departments to ensure smooth project execution.
  6. Supervise logistics personnel and assign operational responsibilities effectively.
  7. Evaluate logistics risks and implement mitigation strategies to minimize operational disruptions.
  8. Ensure compliance with Singapore transport regulations, workplace safety requirements, and company policies.
  9. Monitor inventory movement, shipment tracking, and delivery performance.
  10. Prepare logistics reports, project progress reports, cost analysis, and performance dashboards for management.
  11. Negotiate with logistics service providers and suppliers to achieve cost-effective transportation solutions.
  12. Review transportation routes and recommend process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
  13. Coordinate import and export documentation where applicable.
  14. Manage procurement and scheduling of vehicles, equipment, and logistics resources.
  15. Resolve operational issues, delivery delays, customer complaints, and project-related challenges promptly.
  16. Conduct regular project meetings and provide updates to management and stakeholders.
  17. Monitor project expenditures and implement cost-control measures.
  18. Ensure proper documentation, record keeping, and audit compliance for all logistics activities.
  19. Support business development by providing logistics planning and operational expertise for new projects.
  20. Perform other logistics and project management duties assigned by management.
