Lorry Driver

Job Description:

· Following the best practices for safety, both on the road and while loading or unloading a truck

· Communicating with dispatchers, drivers and other team members to make deliveries

· Meeting delivery deadlines

· Performing basic truck maintenance

· Loading and unloading cargo

· Tracking shipments and deliveries

· Obtaining client or customer signatures when needed

· Long-distance driving

· Communicating and coordinating with dispatchers

· Obeying and following traffic laws

· Securing cargo and properly arranging and balancing it within the vehicle

· Ensuring any mechanical issues with the vehicle are corrected before driving

· Planning routes and meeting delivery schedules

· Reporting defects, accidents and violations

· Performing daily maintenance of truck (refueling, cleaning, etc.)

· Loading and unloading box trucks with pallet jacks

· Interacting with customers in a professional manner

Requirements:

· Possess valid Singapore Class 3 and 4 License

· Experience in driving a 10ft to 20ft truck

· Minimum 3 year driving experience

· Familiar with Singapore road routes and traffic rules

· Able to start work immediately or within short period

· Ability to organise your time and workload

· Ability to work well with others

· Must be able to work on weekends when required
