Machinery Mechanic

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and reliable Mechanic to handle the daily repair and maintenance of our fleet of boats. The primary responsibility of this role is ensuring our marine vessels and onboard machinery are well-maintained, safe, and fully operational.

Candidates with strong experience repairing and overhauling big lorries / heavy vehicles who are looking to transition into the marine sector are welcome to apply and will be fully considered.

Key Responsibilities

• Boat Repair & Maintenance: Perform routine servicing, mechanical repairs, and troubleshooting on boats and marine vessels.

• Engine Overhauling: Lead and execute complete engine overhauls on marine diesel engines and related machinery.

• System Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair faults in onboard mechanical systems, including marine gearboxes, steering systems, pumps, and hydraulics.

• Safety Compliance: Execute all maintenance and repair works in strict compliance with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations and company safety protocols.

Job Requirements (Selection Criteria)

• Experience:

  • Proven hands-on experience in repairing and maintaining marine boats/vessels OR

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience repairing and servicing big lorries / heavy diesel vehicles.

• Core Technical Skill: Must possess the practical knowledge to perform complete engine overhauls independently.

• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and mechanical components.

• Working Environment: Able to work effectively in a waterfront environment and onboard vessels.

• Mindset: Responsible, reliable, and highly safety-conscious.

Hours, Salary & Benefits

• Work Schedule: 6 days per week (Core hours: 44 hours per week).

• Basic Salary Range: SGD 2,800 – SGD 3,800 per month (Commensurate with experience and technical competency).
