Ocean Freight Next International Forwarders

Job Purpose

The program is designed for young professionals (graduates) and immerse them into DHL Global Forwarding Ocean Freight Products and become OFR professionals.

Key Responsibilities

·  Joining our program will set you up for a thriving future with DHL Global Forwarding Ocean Freight Products. The program is designed to challenge you and provide the skills and experience you need to progress for your career. It also provides the opportunity of contributing to innovative solutions for our customers and shape the future of OFR.

·  The Ocean Freight Next International Forwarders will be placed in several different functional assignments of approx. 6 months each. The foundational assignments which cover the core base of our Ocean Freight products consisting of Operations, Growth & Pricing, FCL & LCL and Trade Management. The non-foundational assignments will enable the Trainees to further specialize into different functions which could be Reefer & Bulk, Growth & Pricing, Operations, FCL & LCL, Pricing and Order Management Solutions.

·  The personal and professional development of the Ocean Freight Next International Forwarders is also important to us. The Ocean Freight Next International Forwarders will receive various additional trainings during the program, and they will be mentored by a Senior Leader within OFR, providing guidance and feedback and helping them to plan for their career.

·  Participating in the onboarding tasks

·  Familiarizing with OFR topics e.g. Operations, Trade Management, LCL etc.

·  Learn the OFR topics assigned by respective manager

·  Join the meetings assigned by respective manager

·  Participating in the respective assignments

·  Joining the assigned trainings

Skills

• Excellent English communications skills is a must; other languages will be beneficial
• Extra-curricular activities demonstrating strong team/leadership experience, and ability to collaborate with colleagues and customers
• Good interpersonal and intercultural skills and the ability to work in a changing environment and with diverse working teams
• Inquisitive, willing to learn and accept new challenges and responsibilities; motivated towards career growth, learning, and development
• Independent, entrepreneurial mindset
• Full mobility and willingness to travel and stay in foreign countries (including China, India, Mexico, Singapore, South Africa, Dubai, and USA) during multiple assignments abroad

Qualifications & Experience

• Excellent academic record in a relevant degree, including business/international business, logistics, and supply chain (GPA 3.0 minimum preferred) or equivalent experience
• Less than 2 years of relevant working experience in the logistics/freight forwarding industry
