Operations Executive

Our client, an established organisation within the energy and commodities space, is seeking an Operations Executive to support day-to-day operational activities. This role offers exposure to regional trading operations and requires a detail-oriented individual who is able to coordinate across multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support end-to-end operational processes related to physical transactions, ensuring timely and accurate execution.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external counterparties to facilitate smooth operations and fulfil contractual obligations.
• Monitor operational activities, identify potential issues, and support resolution to minimise disruptions and cost impact.
• Assist in managing documentation, records, and system updates for operational transactions.
• Liaise with finance teams to support invoicing, payments, and expense tracking.
• Participate in stakeholder discussions and provide operational updates where required.
• Contribute to market and operational reporting to support business decisions.
• Provide support to cross-functional teams, including commercial and risk functions, when required.
• Assist with process improvements and other ad-hoc operational initiatives.

Requirements:

• Minimum3 years’ experience in oil & gas trading operations, with vessel operations or cargo coordination.
• Hands-on experience in tanker or VLGC operations is required; exposure to Middle East crude is an advantage.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Self-motivated, organised, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
