The Operations Manager leads daily factory production at Presto. This role makes sure all garments are sorted, processed, and ready on time. The goal is to keep production flowing smoothly, use manpower well, hold process discipline, and keep the team running at a high standard.

The Operations Manager works closely with the management and ground staff to spot problems early and turn them into practical fixes. This is a hands-on role on the factory floor. The Operations Manager will both plan and run the floor. They must think clearly, act early, and follow through without being told.

What You Will Be Doing

• Ensure the sorting and packing side operates smoothly

• Allocate manpower based on daily volume

• Spot manpower shortages early and decide when overtime is needed

• Reprioritise stations when manpower is constrained

• Ensure all agreed process changes/ new SOP are carried out

• Follow up daily on compliance (e.g., colour testing, QC checks)

• Check CCTV to identify mistakes and recurring operational issues

• Investigate root causes before proposing solutions

• Present structured problem statements to management

• Maintain discipline across a multilingual workforce

• Resolve staff conflicts fairly

• Act as the communication bridge between management and ground staff

• Keep team morale stable without compromising standards

• Use CCTV and data to find what is really going wrong

• Present problems in a clear, structured way, with proposed fixes

• Communicate clearly in both directions — up to management and down to the floor

• Suggest solutions instead of waiting for instructions

What You Bring to the Role

• Experience leading a production line, factory floor, or operations team

• Strong sense of ownership — takes full responsibility for outcomes, follows through without supervision, and treats production targets as long-term commitments rather than daily firefighting

• Ability to plan manpower and reprioritise under pressure

• A calm, fair approach to discipline and conflict resolution

• Comfortable leading and communicating across a multilingual team

• Structured problem-solver who looks for root causes, not quick patches

• Hands-on and present on the floor — leads from the front, not behind a desk

• Self-driven and independent
