Operations Manager (Bunker Operations)

We are looking for an Operations Manager for one of our established shipping clients. This role is responsible for overseeing daily marine operations, coordinating vessel activities, leading an operations team, and ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant service delivery. You will also drive process improvements, operational excellence, and cross-functional coordination while supporting business growth. The ideal candidate should have at least 7-8 years of operations management experience within the maritime industry, strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced operational environment.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day marine operations to ensure safe and efficient service delivery.
• Plan and coordinate vessel scheduling and operational activities.
• Liaise with customers, terminals, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth execution.
• Ensure accurate operational documentation and regulatory compliance.
• Lead and develop the operations team while driving continuous improvement initiatives.
• Monitor operational KPIs, budgets, and cost optimisation efforts.
• Review and improve operational processes, procedures, and workflow efficiency.
• Drive operational excellence through process improvements and digitalisation projects.
• Work closely with internal teams to maintain high standards of safety and operational performance.

Qualifications:

• Diploma or Degree in Maritime Studies, Shipping, Logistics, Business, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 7-8 years of experience in maritime operations, with supervisory or management responsibilities preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Able to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Good planning, organisational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience in process improvement and operational excellence initiatives will be an advantage.
