Production Planner

Primary Objectives of Position

The Production Planner is responsible for managing and executing production plans and schedules to ensure that products are delivered to customers on time and within schedule. Plans for the entire production supply chain from rm availability to production, storage, and distribution, and analyses production data to optimise production and inventory control. Planner's scope is from raw material availability to final shipment readiness at WH, often acting as a key link between production, qc & warehouse/logistics groups 

Major Responsibilities 

1. Coordinate with customer service department to develop a production plan and schedule to meet customers’ needs. 
2. Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to optimize inventory control and production. 
3. Laisse with maintenance planning, sales and logistics team etc. to ensure timely production plans and schedules. 
4. Coordinate with relevant stakeholder and overseeing workflow for the entire production plant operations.
5. Highlight issues that affect production output with the manager.
6. Response to product non-conformance with the production and quality team to minimize interruption to production schedules. 
7. Responsible in operators shift schedule according to production needs.
8. Monitors Work Orders progress and obtains output information (number of finished products, percentage of defectives, etc.) 
9. Identify opportunities and support implementation for continuous improvement activities.
10. Comply with Workplace Safety and Health and Environmental Monitoring Systems. 

Required Skills: 

• Minimum N or O Level qualification. Graduate of supply chain or Industrial Engineering.
• Relevant experience the same field or chemical field will be advantageous
• Able to communicate effectively. 
• Computer literate  
• Able to multi-task and work independently 
• Able to handle tight timeline 
• Positive attitude and a team player

• Working hours is 8:30am - 5:30pm, Monday - Friday
