Job Description - Sales & Business Development, Freight Forwarding - (SENIOR EXECUTIVE)

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the role is crucial in driving the company’s growth by sourcing for new business opportunities and managing relationships with existing accounts. Joining a team of passionate change drivers who work closely with the management team to bring the organization to new heights and to deliver strong, effective, and sustainable growth beyond 2026.

About the role:
The role will be responsible for securing new customers, maintaining, and developing new revenue streams from existing accounts. 

·       Primarily focused on hunting new opportunities by running sales activities such as cold calling, prospecting, and email marketing.

·       Act as the main point of contact for potential issues and provide good after sales service and maintain relationships with them for future cross-selling opportunities.

·       Respond in a timely manner to enquiries, prepare RFQ, tender Bid, reviewing rates etc.

·       Meet and exceed set sales targets in terms of generating revenue and contributing to the overall gross profit for the company.

·       Maintain CRM – records of customer details/sales visits/sales progress etc.

·       Negotiate rates from agents to maximize profit margin.

·       Follow up on customer communications in a timely and professional manner.

·       Work closely with Customer Service and Operations on the execution of customers quotations and shipments.

Skills & Experiences Required:

To succeed in this role, you must be able to work in a fast-paced, at times ambiguous and complex environment and have:

·       4+years of sales experience ideally in a logistics/shipping industry.

·       Bachelor's degree in Logistics or related field or equivalent work experience required.

·       Acute sense of hunting and developing new sales opportunities.

·       Ability to understand customers’ expectations and make value proposition to customers.

·       Effective communication and adept in presenting to potential customers of all levels.

·       Excellent written and verbal communications skills and effective presentation capabilities.

·       Ability to work effectively at all levels both cross functionally with peers and at management level to achieve goals.
