SALES MANAGER, FREIGHT FORWARDING

Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to join leading provider of freight forwarding services. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities, building and maintaining strong client relationships, and driving revenue growth.

Responsibilities:

• Actively seek and secure new business accounts, exceeding sales targets and revenue goals.
• Develop and implement effective business development strategies and tactics.
• Negotiate and secure competitive freight rates with local and regional vendors (air, ocean, etc.).
• Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify new opportunities and gain a competitive edge.
• Manage and analyze customer performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions.
• Respond to and manage tenders, RFQs, and bids.
• Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders, including Customer Service, Operations, and Warehouse teams.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives and implement related enhancements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a customer-facing role within the freight forwarding, shipping, air cargo, logistics, supply chain, or related industries.
• Proven track record of success in sales, business development, or account management.
• Experience in the licensed warehouse industry, particularly with liquor, wine, and alcohol, is highly advantageous.
• Strong understanding of international trade regulations and logistics operations.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
