Sales Representative / Assistant Sales Manager (Japanese Speaking)

Responsibilities:

• Drive direct sales activities to achieve sales targets, KPIs, and business objectives.
• Manage existing customer accounts while identifying and securing new business opportunities.
• Monitor sales performance and implement contingency plans to address challenges and maximise results.
• Resolve customer issues relating to operations, customer service, accounts receivable, and other sales-related matters.
• Collaborate with local and overseas offices and customers to strengthen business relationships and support sales growth.
• Conduct pricing analysis and prepare competitive quotations for customers.
• Perform market and competitor analysis to support the development of sales strategies.
• Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) in collaboration with cross-functional departments.
• Support annual budget planning and ensure achievement of budgeted sales targets.
• Undertake additional sales-related responsibilities as required.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5–10 years of relevant experience in logistics, transportation, freight forwarding, or a related industry.
• Proficiency in both Japanese and English is required to liaise effectively with Japanese-speaking and English-speaking customers
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide team members.
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets and delivering business results.
• Performance-driven with strong initiative, accountability, and integrity.
• Excellent problem-solving and customer relationship management skills.
• Strong organisational and planning abilities with the capability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and general IT systems.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and regions.
• Team-oriented with a proactive and customer-focused mindset.
• Experience in tank operations or leasing is an added advantage.
• Knowledge of the chemical industry is an added advantage.
