Senior Category Manager

Key Responsibilities

·       Serve as the primary liaison with suppliers, managing relationships, establishing business frameworks, driving performance improvements, and conducting overall business reviews

·       Monitor industry trends and supplier risk profiles to develop long-term supplier engagement strategies

·       Identify and source new business partners to meet the evolving needs of the organization

·       Develop strategies to continuously maximize cost savings for the organization while ensuring high quality and timely delivery

·       Understand the company’s long-term requirements and engage in strategic planning and collaboration with internal stakeholders to achieve key performance indicators

·       Lead cost structure analysis and negotiate with Suppliers to achieve the most desirable outcome for the company  

·       Lead the implementation of initiatives with relevant stakeholders to secure Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) reductions

·       Organize and lead Business Reviews and Category Review Meetings.

·       Supporting innovation and digitalization plans within the procurement space to enhance operational efficiency and performance

Requirements

·      Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Administration or related field

·      Minimum 10 years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement or supply chain management

·      Prior experience in semiconductor, OSAT, electronics manufacturing or high-tech industries is highly preferred

·      Experience managing direct materials (e.g., substrates, lead frames) or capital equipment is an advantage

·      Proven track record in strategic sourcing, category management, supplier negotiation and contract management

·      Experience working with global suppliers and cross-regional teams

·      Excellent negotiation, communication and stakeholder influencing skills

·       Strong analytical skills with experience in cost modelling and pricing analysis
