The Sr. Supply Chain Solutions Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering complex supply chain and logistics solutions across APAC. This role combines strong industry expertise, data analytics, logistics engineering, and leading supply chain technology to develop practical, cost-effective, and scalable solutions for customers.
The role partners closely with clients, Sales, Operations, Global Tender Management, IT, Finance, and Engineering teams to analyse business requirements, identify process gaps, support RFP/RFQ responses, build value propositions, and drive measurable improvements across the network.
The Sr. Supply Chain Solutions Engineer supports both new business opportunities and existing customer improvement initiatives by translating operational requirements into clear solution concepts, process designs, performance baselines, pricing inputs, and client-facing presentations.
This is a senior individual contributor role requiring strong analytical capability, commercial awareness, customer-facing confidence, and the ability to engage with senior stakeholders internally and externally. The role may also provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, analysts, or project team members.
Job Functions

Design end-to-end supply chain and logistics solutions tailored to client requirements, leveraging industry best practices, operational knowledge, data analytics, and logistics technology.
Lead engineering support for client RFPs and RFQs, including solution design, network modelling, operational assumptions, pricing inputs, written responses, and client-facing presentations.
Partner with Global Tender Management, Sales, Operations, and other stakeholders to ensure RFP/RFQ responses are competitive, accurate, commercially viable, and aligned with operational capabilities.
Analyse customer requirements, operational data, process flows, shipment profiles, warehouse activities, transport needs, and business constraints to develop effective supply chain solutions.
Design and evaluate logistics operating models across warehousing, transportation, distribution, fulfilment, regional supply chain operations, and network flows.
Develop solution concepts, process maps, operational layouts, resource models, productivity assumptions, costing inputs, and implementation considerations.
Identify process gaps and recommend, design, and implement process improvements to enhance service quality, productivity, cost efficiency, scalability, and customer experience.
Establish operational baselines, define KPIs, and implement performance measures to track ongoing solution effectiveness and continuous improvement outcomes.
Apply advanced analytics to interpret business data, validate assumptions, evaluate solution scenarios, and support decision-making.
Work closely with clients regularly to understand business needs, present solutions, review performance, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
Prepare and deliver clear, executive-level presentations, reports, and recommendations to internal stakeholders, senior management, and customers.
Partner with Sales and Operations to develop strong value propositions for new and existing customers.
Work closely with IT and functional teams to assess system requirements, including WMS, TMS, EDI, reporting, automation, data visibility, and other logistics technology solutions.
Support costing, pricing models, rate assumptions, productivity analysis, business case preparation, and commercial review in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
Act as a liaison across Operations, Sales, Clients, Global Tender Management, IT, Finance, and the broader Engineering team to ensure alignment between proposed solutions and operational execution.
Support solution review, implementation planning, project handover, post-implementation review, and ongoing improvement activities.
Manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.
Mentor and develop junior engineers, analysts, or project team members by providing technical guidance, project support, and knowledge sharing.
Skills & Abilities
Strong understanding of logistics, warehousing, transportation, supply chain operations, and 3PL operating models.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process improvement skills.
Ability to interpret complex operational data and translate findings into clear business recommendations and client deliverables.
Strong customer-facing, presentation, written communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to deliver clear executive-level presentations to internal and external stakeholders.
Good commercial awareness, with the ability to balance operational feasibility, service quality, cost competitiveness, and customer value.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Experience with process mapping and layout tools such as Microsoft Visio, AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar tools.
Technical aptitude across transportation and warehouse management systems, including TMS and WMS.
Experience with transportation analysis, warehouse modelling, network analysis, simulation, and inventory modelling tools is preferred.
Experience with data visualisation platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, Spotfire, or similar tools is an advantage.
Knowledge of EDI, reporting platforms, automation, and logistics technology solutions is preferred.
Ability to work effectively across countries, functions, cultures, and different levels of the organisation.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a related discipline is preferred.
MBA, Industrial Engineering qualification, or equivalent professional experience is an advantage.
Minimum four years of relevant experience in logistics, supply chain, solution design, operations excellence, industrial engineering, transportation, warehousing, or related fields.
Experience in third-party logistics, contract logistics, freight forwarding, regional supply chain operations, or customer solution design is preferred.
Prior experience supporting RFPs/RFQs, customer proposals, cost modelling, pricing inputs, operational design, network modelling, or implementation projects will be advantageous.
Experience working with regional or multi-country stakeholders is preferred.
Certifications and Licenses
Lean Six Sigma certification is preferred.
Lean, Kaizen, project management, supply chain, logistics, or process improvement certification is an advantage.
