Senior Team Lead, Operations (Logistics)

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Operations Supervisor to oversee daily warehouse and logistics activities while ensuring operational efficiency, service excellence, and team performance. This role is ideal for candidates with experience in contract logistics who enjoy leading teams, improving operational processes, and using data to drive business performance.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising day-to-day operations, supporting warehouse systems, monitoring key performance indicators, and ensuring operational activities are completed safely, accurately, and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily warehouse operations to ensure customer orders are fulfilled accurately and within agreed service levels.

• Lead, coach, and motivate operational staff to achieve productivity, quality, and safety objectives.

• Plan manpower allocation and coordinate daily operational activities to maximise efficiency.

• Monitor operational KPIs and prepare regular performance reports to support management reviews.

• Support warehouse system administration by ensuring accurate data entry and resolving operational system issues where required.

• Review and update operational procedures to ensure compliance with business requirements and best practices.

• Assist in implementing new operational processes, system enhancements, and business improvement initiatives.

• Perform inventory-related system transactions and ensure operational records remain accurate and up to date.

• Identify operational bottlenecks and recommend practical solutions to improve productivity and workflow efficiency.

• Ensure compliance with workplace safety standards, company policies, and operational procedures.

• Work closely with internal stakeholders to resolve operational issues and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.

• Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing operational performance and reducing process inefficiencies.

• Perform other duties assigned by management.

Essential Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in warehouse operations, contract logistics, or operational supervision.

• Previous experience leading warehouse or logistics teams in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or ERP platforms.

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, Power Query, formulas, and reporting functions.

• Experience preparing operational reports, analysing KPIs, and presenting performance data.

• Strong organisational and documentation skills with experience maintaining operational procedures.

• Good analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple teams.

• Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining operational efficiency.

Preferred

• Experience supporting system implementation, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), or process improvement projects.

• Knowledge of Lean, Kaizen, or continuous improvement methodologies.

• Familiarity with warehouse automation technologies and operational reporting tools.

• Experience within a third-party logistics (3PL) or contract logistics environment will be an advantage.
