Shipping Executive (Sea Freight, Export)

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate shipment bookings with carriers and shipping lines based on customer requirements and schedules.

• Arrange transportation, fumigation services, and other logistics requirements to ensure compliance with export regulations and cargo safety standards.

• Prepare and verify Bills of Lading (B/L) and other export shipping documentation accurately.

• Process export permit declarations and prepare Certificates of Origin (COO) when required.

• Send pre-alerts and shipment updates to overseas agents and destination offices for seamless cargo handling.

• Review and monitor job costing for assigned shipments to ensure profitability and cost control.

• Maintain proper filing and archiving of shipping documents within the document management system.

• Manage assigned trade lanes and shipments while ensuring service quality and operational efficiency.

• Prepare quotations and rate enquiries for agents and customers when required.

• Coordinate end-to-end shipment activities, including documentation, customs clearance, transportation arrangements, shipment tracking, and delivery updates.

• Liaise closely with customers, carriers, vendors, and internal departments to resolve operational issues promptly.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.

• Minimum 1–3 years of experience in freight forwarding, shipping, or logistics operations.

• Knowledge of export documentation, Bills of Lading, Certificates of Origin, and customs procedures.

• Experience handling ocean freight export operations will be an advantage.

• Strong attention to detail, organizational, and coordination skills.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and freight forwarding systems.
