Sourcing Specialist

Job Summary:

The Sourcing Specialists are responsible for the execution of RFQ through fulfillment of product. The specialists are the execution part of the sourcing strategy once determined by Strategic Sourcing.

They directly interface with the suppliers for quoting, PO placement, resolving commercial questions, date management, order tracking and ultimately inbound on-time-delivery of the product.

Responsibilities:

• RFQ management - timeliness, accuracy, negotiation
• Negotiation of Catalogue Price lists
• PO placement locally with suppliers within region
• Performance monitoring of supplier to delivery milestones
• Communication of status with Order Fulfillment organization
• POC for supplier change requests or non technical questions
• Approval of timing change requests related to technical questions
• Date Management focused on supplier OTD
• Input to forecast process through effective date management
• Coordination of tasks based on MRB / DMR meeting addressed to the supplier, including invoicing of expenses incurred
• Escalation to Fulfillment Specialist, Strategic Sourcing / Supplier Management when issues arise
• New Product Introduction into the supply chain, including RFQ management, negotiation, supplier selection and PO placement 

Qualifications and Experience:

• Minimum Diploma in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, Operations, or related
• Minimum 3 years of experience in purchasing / sourcing / supply chain / planning
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, bill of materials(BOMs) and technical drawings.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and ensure complete follow through.
• Knowledge of Supply Chain / Procurement best practices
• Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP,EPICOR), supply chain analytics and Excel-based planningtools. 
• Experience in Continuous Improvements and/or Lean Process Development preferred.
• Travelling may be required for visits to supplier locations
