Storekeeper (Based in Tuas)

Our client is looking for a responsible and organised Storekeeper to manage the daily operations of our store and warehouse. This role is based in Tuas.

The successful candidate will be responsible for receiving, inspecting, storing and issuing materials, tools and equipment while maintaining accurate inventory records.

This role is suitable for someone who is hands-on, detail-oriented and comfortable working in an engineering or industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect and verify incoming materials, tools and equipment against delivery orders and purchase documents.
• Ensure all items received are in good condition and report any shortages, damages or discrepancies.
• Store materials and equipment in the correct locations in a safe and organised manner.
• Issue materials, tools and equipment to production, project or site teams based on approved requests.
• Maintain accurate stock records and update inventory movements promptly.
• Reduce stock discrepancies, achieve 99% stock accuracy.
• Conduct regular stock checks and assist with monthly or annual stocktaking exercises.
• Monitor stock levels and inform the relevant department when replenishment is required.
• Prepare materials and equipment for delivery to project sites or other locations.
• Ensure proper labelling, identification and storage of all items.
• Maintain cleanliness and good housekeeping within the store and warehouse.
• Ensure tools and equipment are properly tracked and returned after use.
• Operate material-handling equipment where required and authorised.
• Comply with workplace safety procedures and company policies.
• Perform other store, warehouse or logistics-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum secondary school education or equivalent.
• At least 1 to 2 years of storekeeping, warehouse or inventory experience is preferred.
• Experience in an engineering, construction, manufacturing or steel-related environment will be an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of inventory control and stock management.
• Able to read and verify delivery orders, purchase orders and stock documents.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and inventory systems.
• Physically fit and able to handle materials and equipment when required.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Responsible, organised and attentive to detail.
• Possession of a forklift licence will be an advantage.
• Comfortable working in Tuas (company transport provided in Joo Koon MRT Station).
