Traffic Controller (Logistics)

Job Responsibilities

·      Plan and coordinate daily transport, delivery, and container movement schedules.

·      Assign drivers and vehicles based on operational requirements and availability.

·      Monitor delivery progress and provide timely updates to customers and relevant parties.

·      Liaise with drivers, customers, transporters, warehouses, and operations teams to ensure smooth execution.

·      Respond promptly to delays, vehicle breakdowns, route changes, and other operational issues.

·      Maintain accurate records of job assignments, delivery status, and transport documentation.

·      Ensure drivers comply with assigned schedules, company procedures, and safety requirements.

·      Perform ad-hoc duties assigned by management.

Job Requirements

·      Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transportation, Business Administration or a related field.

·      Relevant experience in transport coordination, traffic control, logistics or container operations is preferred.

·      Familiar with driver deployment, vehicle scheduling and delivery monitoring.

·       Able to communicate effectively with drivers, customers, transporters, warehouses andoperations teams.

·       Strong coordination, problem-solving and decision-making skills.

·      Able to respond promptly to operational delays, breakdowns and last-minute schedule changes.

·      Detail-oriented with good record-keeping and documentation skills.

·      Able to work independently in a fast-paced operational environment.

·      Willing to work beyond normal working hours when operationally required.
