Traffic Controller ( Operations Manager)

Job Summary

Manage and supervise drivers and fleet operations to ensure timely delivery of customer orders. Oversee scheduling and deployment using Portnet and Transport Management System. Lead operational problem resolution and develop team capabilities in a 5.5-day workweek.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise drivers’ performance to ensure fulfillment of customer orders
• Oversee fleet availability and serviceability of prime-movers, lorries, and chassis to meet daily operational demands
• Update job schedules accurately and timely using Portnet to support operational planning
• Plan and allocate drivers and vehicles for jobs, updating the Transport Management System accordingly
• Ensure continuous department operations during all operational hours
• Supervise and resolve operational issues encountered by drivers with customers or related agencies
• Train, coach, and develop subordinates to enhance team performance
• Communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders to maintain smooth operations

Required competencies and certifications

• Minimum 6 years’ experience in third-party logistics
• Minimum GCE ‘O’ Level qualification
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word for operational reporting and communication
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with good command of English
• Ability to start work immediately

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Knowledge of Portnet system for job scheduling and updates

Other Information

• Working hours: Monday to Friday 8:30 am to 6:00 pm, Saturday 8:30 am to 1:00 pm (5.5 days week)
• Remuneration: $4,500 - $5,500
