Warehouse Assistant , Airfreight

About the role

This role is responsible for supporting warehouse operations and material handling as part of GEODIS Integrated Solutions' Airfreight Operations and Warehouse, which offers efficient and timely airfreight import, export and warehousing transportation services.

6 Days workweek: Mon - Fri 11pm - 7am, Sun 11pm - 7am, Sat Rest day

Location: 70 Alps Avenue

Key responsibilities

• Ensure proper and accurate receipt of goods as well as the correctness of pertinent documents received

• Ensure all shipments are recorded

• Check all documents and cargoes before release of shipments to terminal handling agent

• Sort all import & export shipments for lodging to airlines

• Ensure cleanliness and housekeeping of warehouse

• Keep all warehouse equipment in good order and conditions

• Perform pick and pack of import and export shipment

• Ensure number of pieces taken over from the collection team tally with shipping documents

• Ensure cargo dimensions are correctly taken

• Ensure cargo taken over from collection team are in perfect condition and report to Supervisor/Operations Manager when discrepancy is found

About you

• GCE N Level certification and above

• At least 1 year of experience in this field or industry

• Competent in computer skills and common applications (Office, Excel, PowerPoint & Word)

• Possess forklift licence

• Ability to adapt to and work effectively within a variety of situations and with various individuals or groups

• Constantly looking for ways to challenge, monitor and improve the quality of work and processes

• Develops and communicates ideas to solve complex issues

• Proactive – take responsibility of own works, anticipating problems and taking affirmative steps to deal with them positively and efficiently
