Weighbridge Operator

Job Summary

The Weighbridge Operator is responsible for weighing incoming and outgoing vehicles, recording vehicle movements, issuing weighbridge documents and maintaining accurate operational records. The role requires close coordination with drivers and the site operations team.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate the computerised weighbridge system for incoming and outgoing vehicles.
• Record vehicle numbers, load details, weight readings and transaction information accurately.
• Generate and issue weighbridge tickets, receipts and related documents.
• Verify that vehicle and load information is complete before processing.
• Maintain accurate records of all vehicle movements and weighbridge transactions.
• Coordinate with drivers, supervisors and site operations personnel.
• Reconcile daily weighbridge transactions and report any discrepancies.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly operational reports when required.
• Monitor the condition of weighbridge equipment and report faults or maintenance requirements promptly.
• Maintain proper filing of weighbridge tickets and supporting documents.
• Follow company procedures, site rules and workplace safety requirements.
• Perform other related operational or administrative duties assigned by the supervisor.
