Assistant / Logistics Manager (Based in Jurong Island)

KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure that the warehouse operates at peak efficiency - with end user satisfaction the primary goal – by supervising, organizing, and training warehouse employees and establishing, monitoring, and managing operational goals.
• Develop warehouse operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements, equipment utilization, inventory, gate processes.
• Develop and maintain warehouse SOPs and communicating to all warehouse personnel and end users.
• Train and manage the warehouse team to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short- and long-term performance goals.
• Oversee daily operations while controlling and managing inventory and logistics.
• Review and prepare workflows, staffing requirements, space allocations, equipment layouts, and action plans that meet company standards for productivity, quality.
• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing and enforcing HSSE standards and procedures and by complying with legal regulations.
• Conduct cycle count and annual stock take exercises as per the warehouse SOPs.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Diploma or Degree in related fields such as Engineering, business or economics, logistics, supply chain management.
• Minimum 8 years in similar capacity preferred.
• Experience in warehousing position in oil & gas or utilities plant environment preferred.
• Possesses integrity, good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in spoken and written English.
• Knowledge of the latest SAP software preferred.
