Job Description - Customer Service Executive (Freight Forwarding) #66233

Job Description

  • Industry/ Organization Type: Freight Forwarding / Transportation
  • Position Title: Customer Service Executive (Freight Forwarding)
  • Working Location: Jurong East
  • Working Hours: 5.25 days (Monday to Friday (9 AM - 6 PM, Alternate Saturdays half day)
  • Salary Package: Basic Salary up to $3,000 + AWS + Bonus
  • Duration: Permanent

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate shipment schedules, bookings, and document preparation required for international shipping (air, sea, and road transport).
  • Ensure accurate and timely data entry for tracking shipments, processing orders, and providing quotes.
  • Work closely with customs brokers to help clear goods through customs, providing necessary documentation and information as needed.
  • Monitor shipments from the point of origin to the final destination, proactively communicating any delays and managing client expectations.
  • Develop and sustain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and offering solutions to enhance their logistics experience.
  • Resolve any issues that arise during the shipping process in a timely and effective manner.
  • Prepare reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
  • Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

  • Experience in Shipping/Logistics within the freight forwarding industry is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle inquiries and negotiations diplomatically.
  • Basic understanding of international trade, shipping regulations, and documentation.
  • Ability to problem-solve and provide timely resolution to customer issues.
