Summary of Role:

We are searching for a Global Category Lead for Substrates to join our Global Supply Chain Team. This individual will be responsible for developing and shaping our Global Sourcing Strategy for Substrates. You will be leading a global team and will be working closely with key stakeholders to drive and align with the sourcing strategy.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Define global sourcing strategy for Substrates in alignment with the Organization’s overall direction and strategy.
• Perform market and supplier analysis. Understand supply market conditions and dynamics.
• Analyze and manage complex contractual agreements,
• Develop negotiation strategies to support the cost reduction goals.
• Maintain and leverage supplier relationships
• Serves as the primary contact for supplier relationship management
• Identifying opportunities for supply base optimization
• Interface with global/regional sourcing and cross functional teams to ensure alignment with sourcing strategies and leverage global vs regional opportunities.

Other Responsibilities:

• Responsible and accountable for complying with and implementing environmental, health, safety and security (EHSS) system, policies, procedures and guidelines that are applicable to your scope of work, thereby maintaining a healthy and safe workplace.

Required Qualifications:

• Education – bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain or Business Administration or related field.
• Experience - Minimum 10 years procurement experience specializing in sourcing in either a foundry fab environment or related industry.

• Good knowledge of supplier management and commodity industry knowledge
• Excellent critical thinking skills, good business strategy knowledge and implementation knowledge; capable of influencing internal decision makers to make decisions aligned with strategies and objectives benefiting the entire organization.
• Able to work on complex problems where analysis of situations requires an evaluation of intangible factors.
• Able to navigate through ambiguity with excellent data mining and management skills.
• Provides leadership, direction, and sourcing strategy development with Global Team.
• Responsible for developing and driving implementation of plans in support of strategic direction.
• Requires functional expertise, broad company knowledge and additional industry or business knowledge.
• Project management skills - i.e., the ability to innovate and execute solutions that matter.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Travel - Up to 10%
• Fluency in English Language – written & verbal.
