● Ensure timely, quality, & cost-effective movement of products at all stages of logistics between manufacturer and consumer
● Manage the logistics of international import, export, and local Singapore delivery
● Manage people and budgetary responsibilities.
● Implement best practice logistics vision, strategy, policies, processes, and procedures
● Continuous improvement of logistics processes to improve efficiency and reliability.
General and Task Management
● Planning and Operations:
○ Plan, manage, and evaluate logistics operations.
○ Liaise with stakeholders, suppliers, logistics providers, transportation companies, and customers.
○ Create and implement logistics principles, policies, and processes to improve performance.
○ Deliver solutions within budget while maintaining quality and service.
○ Monitor quality, quantity, delivery times, and transport costs.
● Negotiation and Contracts:
○ Negotiate rates and contracts with logistics providers.
○ Recommend optimal transport modes, routes, or frequency.
○ Select carriers/suppliers and monitor their performance.
○ Ensure carrier compliance with company policies.
● Problem Solving and Continuous Improvement:
○ Resolve logistics and transportation issues.
○ Review and report on logistics changes.
○ Assess logistics processes for new facilities and advise on cost implications.
○ Support continuous improvement and cost optimisation initiatives.
○ Identify savings in the logistics process.
● Data and Reporting:
○ Analyse and review logistics data to aid customer service and cost improvements.
○ Provide metrics, reports, and process documentation.
● Maintenance and Management of Facilities:
○ Overseeing company facilities.
○ Providing facilities support.
○ Serving as a liaison between management and staff to ensure that facilities are well-maintained, secure, and meet the company's needs.
Team Support
● Supervise and support direct reports to ensure departmental objectives are met.
● Provide coaching and development opportunities.
● Set and review objectives/KPIs for direct reports.
● Ensure team health, safety, and environmental compliance.
Relationship Management
● Develop strong relationships with logistics process stakeholders.
● Ensure timely dispatch and quality shipment of products.
● Comply with import/export regulations and legal requirements.
● Support new business initiatives and projects.
Skills and Attributes
● Strong leadership and team management abilities.
● Effective communication ang negotiation skills.
● Analytical mindset with a focus on problem-solving and attention to detail.
Qualifications and Experience
● Minimum Diploma in Logistics and Supply Chain Management / Business Administration or a relevant equivalent field.
● Minimum 4 years relevant experience.
