MRP BUYER

About the Role

We are seeking a qualified and motivated MRP Buyer In this role, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth flow of materials required for production by utilizing the Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize the MRP system to generate accurate purchase orders for materials, components, and parts based on production forecasts and bill of materials (BOM).
• Negotiate and secure the most competitive pricing and terms with suppliers.
• Maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and ensure timely delivery of materials.
• Monitor inventory levels and implement strategies to optimize stockholding and minimize costs.
• Analyze material consumption data and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
• Conduct market research and stay up-to-date on supplier trends and pricing fluctuations.
• Track purchase orders and manage the purchasing process from initiation to completion.
• Prepare reports and analyze data to provide insights into purchasing activities and identify areas for improvement.
• Work collaboratively with other departments, such as engineering, production planning, and finance.
• Ensure compliance with company purchasing policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement or purchasing, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience working with MRP systems (e.g., SAP MRP).
• Strong understanding of inventory management principles and purchasing best practices.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience in the electronics or semiconductor industry a plus.
