Shipping Executive

Job Responsibilities :

• Verify and approval of shipping request from origin appointed forwarders
• Tracking of the cargo vessel and plane departure, transit, and arrival
• Advise sales support staff preferred mode of shipment & incoterms
• Review freight rates and services from existing forwarders
• Verify all freight billings from forwarders and courier companies against approved quotation; follow up on errors in billing
• Compute new item and route freight cost request from sales engineer and support team
• Provide monthly freight cost listing to management
• Liaise follow up with forwarders on export and import permits, K1 forms, and custom official receipt matters
• Negotiation on optimization of outbound/inbound cargo space with forwarders; achieving economy of scale.
• Address urgent request and logistic issues faced by warehouse and sales support team
• Notify warehouse team on the arrival of containers
• Coordinate un-stuffing, stuffing, and timely collection of containers with the warehouse team and forwarders.

Job Requirements:

• 2 years related working experience.
• Good command of written and spoken English.
• Pleasant personality, customer-orientated, and excellent communication skills.
• Able to work in a team-based environment and under pressure with tight schedules.
• Meticulous, organized individual with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Proficient in MS Office applications such as Microsoft Word & Excel.
• Prior experience in Electronics/ Manufacturing industries is advantageous.
