Job Description

• Position Title: Trade Operations Specialist/ Shipping Operations Specialist
• Working Location: Orchard
• Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9 am – 6 pm
• Salary Package: Up to $7,000 + Bonus
• Duration: Permanent Role

Key Responsibilities

• Assist Trade Ops Manager in implementing signed commodity trading contracts.
• Review contract clauses and draft relevant LC documents.
• Prepare import LC applications as required.
• Coordinate with commercial banks for LC issuance.
• Draft and ensure compliance of LC documents with LC terms.
• Review trading contracts and coordinate shipping logistics.
• Prepare Shipping instructions, verify BL drafts, and manage document issuance and release. Familiarity with Mates Receipt and other shipping documents.
• Manage logistics and coordinate with the Dubai team for smooth transition of purchases to sales shipments.
• Oversee inventory management.
• Manage warehouse operations including collections, deliveries, and releases. Verify invoices from service providers for compliance with agreements and ensure timely payments.
• Input new deals into systems promptly and ensure all operations are reflected within the reporting period. Issue invoices accordingly.

• At least a Diploma with a minimum of 3 years of related experience in Operations & Logistics, Import & Export Documentation and Shipping.
• Able to handle complex logistics arrangements (bulk shipments) and must have proven experience with bulk conventional vessels, specifically in handling fertilizer or other commodity bulk shipments.
• Prior experience in handling full shipping documents, including LC and Bill of Lading.
