Job Description - TRUCK DRIVER

Planning routes and travel schedules to ensure timely delivery of goods and cargo.
Conducting vehicle maintenance checks to ensure that trucks are in good operating condition.
Loading and unloading freight using appropriate tools and equipment.
Following traffic laws and safety regulations while driving.
Communicating with dispatchers and other staff members to coordinate pick-up and delivery schedules.
Keeping accurate records of trucking activities, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery times.
Interacting with clients, vendors, and other staff members professionally and courteously.
Completing required paperwork and documentation, such as bills of lading and delivery receipts.
Handling unexpected situations, such as traffic delays or mechanical problems, calmly and efficiently.
Maintaining a clean and organised truck cab and cargo area.
