Mechanical Piping Engineer

Job Overview

This role focuses on the engineering design and technical coordination of mechanical systems used in marine vessels. The engineer will support the development of ship systems including machinery, piping networks, and equipment installation.

Key Responsibilities

·      Review machinery specifications and ensure compliance with technical requirements

·      Interpret classification rules and engineering standards for vessel construction

·      Support design development for ship machinery spaces and equipment layouts

·      Work with designers and vendors on piping system schematics and equipment installation plans

·      Coordinate interfaces between major ship systems including engines, propulsion and auxiliary systems

·      Participate in 3D modelling activities for vessel design and production planning

·      Generate material take-off lists and installation details for piping systems

Requirements

·      Degree or diploma in Marine Engineering or Mechanical Engineering

·      Minimum 5 years of experience in shipyard or marine engineering environments

·      Familiar with ship machinery systems and piping networks

·      Experience with engineering drawings and technical documentation

·      Knowledge of pumps, compressors, valves, and piping components

·      Proficiency in AutoCAD and engineering software tools

·      Strong analytical and communication skills
