Operation Technician (12 hours)

• Troubleshoot and resolves technical problem when necessary.
• Operate valves and pumps to admit or drain specified amounts of materials, impurities, or treating agents to or from equipment
• Flush or clean equipment, using steam hose or mechanical reamer
• Draw samples of product and sends to laboratory for analysis
• Perform general clean up and maintain good housekeeping in order to keep working areas clean, organized, and safe
• Patrol and inspect equipment or unit to detect leaks and malfunctions
• Weigh or measure specified amounts of materials
• Read, comprehend, and follow written and oral instructions, safety rules, operating procedures and product recipes
• Load and unload tank trucks and drums containing hazardous and non-hazardous materials
• Perform incidental maintenance as required to troubleshoot processes and to keep processes running properly
• Lock out processing equipment to make sure maintenance can safely repair processing equipment
• Be an active Emergency Response Team member.
• A quick learner, a good team player as well as possess the aptitude to work well independently
• Physically fit
• Familiar with the petroleum and chemical products handled and the terminal operating system in the control room, tank farm and jetties
• Candidate must be open to work in open space environment, able to handling tasks that require climbing or working at heights by using ladder.
