Testing & Repair Engineer (Network and Communications Hardware) Woodlands-5days

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain testing environments for network switches, counter systems, IT servers, and related infrastructure.

• Perform testing, troubleshooting, diagnosis, repair, and validation of IT network equipment, electronic devices, and hardware components.  

• Support company IT equipment, including desktops, laptops, printers, network devices, servers, and office IT infrastructure.

• Use diagnostic tools and test equipment to identify faults and confirm repair effectiveness. 

• Record and evaluate test results, failure codes, and repair actions, and prepare technical reports accurately.

• Guide and support junior technicians on testing methods, troubleshooting, repair procedures, and quality requirements.

• Work with production, warehouse, quality, and customer support teams to resolve technical issues.

Requirements

• Diploma / Higher Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Electronics, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Network Engineering, Mechatronics, or related discipline.

• Engineer – level candidate with relevant experience in network equipment testing, electronic testing and repair, hardware diagnostic troubleshooting, network equipment support, or repair centre operations.

• Strong hands -on interest in electronics, IT network equipment, switches, servers, and related hardware systems.

• Good understanding of computer hardware, operating systems, network connectivity, electronic components, and diagnostic procedures.

• Experience with system imaging, firmware updates, device configuration, software installation, and functional testing will be an advantage

• Able to guide junior technicians and work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Knowledge and Application of AI tools and agents will be an added advantage, but secondary

• Experience in PCBA or board-level repairs will be a plus point

• Good communication skills and ability to guide and lead junior team members.
