Business Planning and Application Development Manager

JobResponsibilities

·Lead the new product development process from ideation to launch includingformulation development, maintenance of stability testing, productoptimisation, shelf life and transferring technical know-how to support engineers

·Plan, perform test, analyse for sensory evaluation and product improvement,respond quickly to test issues in the products.

·Participates on cross functional teams to ensure effective resolution ofcomplex technical issues arise by customers.

·Keep up to date with latest technologies developed by fundamental researchlaboratories and production process/equipment developments

·Provide technical guidance and support to cross-functional teams ormultinational organization / bakery suppliers / customers.

·Analyse consumer insights, food trends and provide strategic direction forproduct development in cooperation with the relevant Business Development Unit & Marketing Team.

·Conduct trials & investigation in order to maintain & resolve qualityissues

·Seek opportunities on any potential collaborations with third parties in AsiaPacific

·Survey market trends of food industry in Asia Pacific and share informationwith interested parties

·Discuss with production & sales on new product development such asproduction capabilities, cost settings that potentially can be accepted bymarkets etc.

·Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time

Requirement

·Master or Bachelor of Food Science/Food Technology or related degree

·Minimum 10 years’ experience in food-related industry dealing with cream &margarine, oils & fats and plant-based foods.

·Able to communicate in Japanese to liaise with Japan HQ and Japanese customers.

·Equipped with knowledge & understanding of raw material & their functions.

·Experience in product development, product formulation and product stabilitystudies

·Moderate to advance scientific and food technology knowledge.

·Familiar with market trends and with strong connection in the relevant field.

·Proactive in seeking solutions and solving problems.

·Outgoing with strong leadership qualities, multitask and able to workindependently and in a team.

·Meticulous, good communication skills and organisational skills
