Cell Leader

Core Responsibilities

• Production Leadership: Direct a dedicated manufacturing team executing complex precision machining and assembly tasks, ensuring target delivery schedules and machinery utilization rates are met.

• Talent & Schedule Administration: Manage daily shop floor attendance, leave planning, and overtime in compliance with labor regulations; handle recruitment, training, and performance appraisals.

• Continuous Improvement (Lean/6S): Champion Lean and Kaizen frameworks to eliminate production waste, and enforce 6S methodology to maintain a clean, safe workshop.

• Metric Tracking & Systems: Monitor cell budgets, consumable spending, delivery scorecards, TPM, and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) while logging precise data in Syteline ERP.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Lead daily stand-up/toolbox meetings and interface with neighboring production cells and multi-functional teams to resolve quality or production barriers.

Qualifications

• Experienced in a heavy manufacturing or technical production facility, including direct supervisory experience managing workshop technicians. 

• Solid understanding of metal fabrication methods, advanced machining logic, and Lean manufacturing waste-reduction principles.

• Strong interpersonal, analytical, and dispute-resolution skills, with a track record of driving teamwork under tight operational deadlines.

• Prior experience operating or programming CNC machinery is highly advantageous.
