About the role
We are currently seeking for a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a pivotal position within our manufacturing operations, based in the West Region. As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining computer numerical control (CNC) machinery to produce precision components and parts. This role is essential to maintaining our high standards of quality and efficiency, directly contributing to our company's reputation for excellence in the trades and manufacturing sector.
Key responsibilities
Experienced in operating CNC Lathe to produce precision components according to technical specifications and engineering drawings
Do programing and operate the machine (FANUC & MAZATROL)
Monitoring machine operation to ensure accuracy and quality of finished products
Conducting routine maintenance and inspections of CNC machinery to ensure optimal performance
Measuring and inspecting finished components using precision measuring instruments such as micrometres and calliper gauges
Adjusting machine parameters and settings to correct any deviations from specifications
Reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders
Maintaining accurate records of production runs and machine downtime
Adhering to all health and safety protocols and workplace regulations
Collaborating with supervisors and team members to meet production deadlines and quality standards
What we're looking for
Trade qualification or certification as a CNC Machinist or equivalent practical experience
Proven experience operating CNC machines in a manufacturing or production environment
Strong knowledge of machine tooling, cutting speeds, and feeds
Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints
Experience with precision measurement tools and quality control procedures
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
Sound mechanical knowledge and problem-solving skills
Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to machine operation
Familiarity with CNC programming languages such as G-code is advantageous
Experience machining high-alloy materials used in oil & gas applications is preferred
