Contract Lab Analyst/ Technician, Water (12 Months, Renewable) #HCG

Key Responsibilities

• Perform manual laboratory analysis on wastewater and crude oil samples
• Ensure all testing is conducted accurately and in accordance with laboratory procedures and quality standards.
• Handle various water and wastewater samples, including sour water
• Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including protective masks, will be provided.
• Independently manage the day-to-day operations of a small laboratory.
• Oversee laboratory chemical and consumable inventory, including purchasing, stock monitoring, and replenishment.
• Maintain laboratory cleanliness, housekeeping, and equipment organisation.
• Ensure laboratory Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safety standards are kept up to date and consistently followed by all laboratory users.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Experience in laboratory testing or analytical chemistry in water testing is preferred.
• Flexible with working hours and willing to work overtime when operational needs arise.
• Committed to maintaining laboratory safety, quality, and compliance standards.
