Job scope:
Water System
Undertake ownership of UPW System.
Plan, coordinate and oversee day-to-day operations and maintenance of the UPW system and other water treatment systems to maintain maximum equipment uptime and reliability, while ensuring zero quality-related impacts to production.
Coordinate and liaise with internal and external contractors/ vendors to implement corrective maintenance (CM) and preventive maintenance (PM) programs, ensuring they are carried out in a timely manner.
Drive, evaluate, plan, develop, and execute engineering projects and solutions, including water-saving strategies, system upgrades, process improvements, retrofits, and system expansions, while ensuring compliance with water quality standards and specifications.
Manage third-party vendors, specialised water-treatment contractors, and equipment manufacturers during plant shutdowns or maintenance routines.
Manage OPEX and CAPEX budgets for operations, maintenance, and projects.
Study and continuously review UPW capacity to ensure it meets projected demand over the next five years, and develop improvement and expansion plans accordingly.
Author, review, and maintain up-to-date Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Risk Assessments (RAs) for operations and maintenance.
Prepare Root Cause Analysis (RCA) reports for near misses, equipment failures, or production interruptions, and implement effective Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) to prevent recurrence.
Wastewater System:

Ensure that all discharge water systems comply with regulatory specifications.
Schedule and issue consignment notes for Toxic Industrial Waste (TIW) collections through the National Environment Agency (NEA) e-Tracking system.
Task & assignments not limited to the above:
To undertake assignments/ projects on top of the above specified roles.
Supports climate change and sustainability programs lead by fellow Colleagues.
Support facility expansion, new equipment installation, factory ramp-up, and commissioning activities to meet production capacity requirements.
Supports internal and external audits ensuring zero nonconformity.
Ensure compliance with Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) requirements, ISO standards, and semiconductor industry best practices.
Prepare and submit the Water Efficiency Management Plan (WEMP), and water balance chart to Public Utilities Board (PUB) through the Electronic Data Management and Submission (EDMA) portal, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and submission deadlines.
Liaise with NEA and PUB and other regulatory authorities to ensure compliance with statutory requirements, water quality standards, permits, and reporting obligations.
Raise purchase requisitions for monthly water invoices and other procurement-related matters.
Requirements:
Educational Qualifications :
B.Eng Degree, Diploma may be considered based on experience.
Experience with UPW system and Wastewater system are mandatory.
Awareness of NEA and PUB regulatory requirements is an added advantage.
Water Efficiency Manager certified is an added advantage.
Relevant Experience :
Minimum 2 years, experience as Facilities UPW or Wastewater System Engineer in a semiconductor plant.
Technical / Job Knowledge :
Familiar with semiconductor UPW and Wastewater systems.
Ability to work independently.
Comfortable with reporting of project status.
Must demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Must be organised, detail oriented, self-motivated, and able to multi-task.
Knowledge of Microsoft Words, Excel, and Google Workspace are mandatory.
Knowledge of AutoCAD, Power BI, Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) is an added advantage.
