Facility Technician

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the safe and proper operation of facilities equipment and systems.

• Monitor facilities equipment and systems through FMCS or equivalent control systems.

• Respond promptly to out-of-specification or abnormal conditions affecting production or the site in general.

• Escalate out-of-specification or abnormal conditions to the relevant parties in a timely manner.

• Restore facility services quickly to minimize interruptions to production or site operations.

• Respond to facility service requests.

• Support and implement operating procedures and risk assessments for all facilities systems and related work activities.

• Coordinate maintenance and installation activities for facility systems and equipment on site.

• Accurately hand over operational information to the next shift.

• Complete all assigned shift routines and activities.

• Assist in drafting SOPs, checklists, and daily plant reports.

• Follow up on incidents and service interruptions.

• Coordinate and collaborate with internal and external parties on facility operation-related activities.

• Prioritize and organize work effectively during each shift.

• Serve as a member of the Emergency Response Team (ERT).

• Co-chair the daily Facilities Operations morning meeting and shift handover with the Facilities Operations Engineer.

• Perform UPW regeneration and backwash activities.

• Complete all assigned learning modules and training within the stipulated timeframe.

• Perform gas cylinder changeovers and replace with fresh cylinders.

• Perform chemical drum changeovers and replace with fresh drums.

• Provide chemical and gas logistics support, including ordering, collection, and hook-up.

Job Requirements

• Diploma in Electronic/Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Controls & Instrumentation, or other related engineering disciplines.

• Familiar with Microsoft Office applications.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

• Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize work effectively.

• Able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.

• Prior experience in facilities operations or maintenance is an advantage.

• Willing to work rotating shifts.
