Job Summary
The Production Operator is responsible for supporting daily chemical plant production activities in a safe, efficient, and quality-focused manner. This role involves operating production equipment, including filter press systems, handling and dosing chemicals, monitoring equipment performance, and conducting visual quality checks on finished products. This role will also perform minor maintenance on pumps and valves, follow operational instructions from the Team Leader and Supervisor, and ensure full compliance with company safety, security, industrial hygiene, environmental, health and safety (EHS), and quality standards. The ideal candidate is a team player with a strong commitment to workplace safety, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth plant operations.
Carry out daily production activities, including filter press operations and chemical dosing and handling
Monitor equipment performance during operations and report any abnormalities.
Inspect finished products and monitor visual quality parameters, including color and viscosity.
Perform minor maintenance work on pumps, valves, and related equipment.
Execute operational tasks under the guidance of the Team Leader and/or Supervisor.
Strictly adhere to company Chemical Plant Safety, Security, Industrial Hygiene, Environment, Health & Safety (EHS), and Quality standards, policies, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
Minimum GCE 'O' Level qualification or equivalent.
Minimum 1 year of working experience in a manufacturing plant, chemical plant, or factory environment.
Able to work effectively in a team and collaborate with colleagues to achieve operational goals.
Possess a positive attitude, willingness to learn, and strong sense of responsibility.
Able to follow work instructions, standard operating procedures, and safety guidelines.
