Laboratory Technologist / QC Chemist Chemical Manufacturing

Hiring Laboratory Technologist / QC Chemist for chemical, manufacturing and laboratory testing environments.

Responsibilities:

• Carry out laboratory testing and quality control checks on raw materials, in-process samples and finished products.
• Perform chemical analysis, product testing, sampling and preparation of laboratory samples.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment according to SOP and safety requirements.
• Record, review and report test results accurately.
• Support production quality control, product evaluation and laboratory documentation.
• Assist in calibration, maintenance and basic troubleshooting of laboratory instruments.
• Ensure proper sample handling, chemical handling and laboratory housekeeping.
• Report abnormal test results, quality issues or equipment problems to supervisors.
• Follow laboratory safety, quality, ISO and company procedures at all times.

Job Requirement:

• NITEC / Higher NITEC / Diploma / Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Process, Chemical Engineering, Science, Biotechnology, Food Science or related field.
• Relevant experience in laboratory testing, QC testing, chemical analysis, sampling or manufacturing quality will be an advantage.
• Candidates from chemical, pharmaceutical, food, polymer, petrochemical or manufacturing background are welcome.
• Knowledge of laboratory equipment, wet chemistry, titration, GC, FTIR, Karl Fischer, AAS or other analytical instruments will be an advantage.
• Able to follow SOP, safety procedures and documentation requirements.
• Fresh graduates may be considered for junior openings.
• Responsible, detail-oriented and willing to learn.
