Logistics Assistant

Duties & Responsibilities:

Logistics & Operations:

• Execute and coordinate logistics and warehousing plans, including inbound, internal inventory transfers, and outbound processes.

• Prepare and process all types of shipping documentation in a timely manner.

• Ensure smooth cargo transit by coordinating with multiple parties, including shipping agents, carriers, and customs.

• Verify and process invoices from suppliers and forwarders.

• Coordinate maintenance and services for company vehicles and operation facilities.

Customer Service & Administration:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for house accounts, following up on delivery requirements and payment status.

• Support the sales and account management teams with documentation and communication.

• Interface with customers to address shipment inquiries and provide timely updates.

• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

Sea freight & Global Distribution

·       Liaise with shipping lines and freight forwarders to secure space for related dangerous goods (DG) if applicable.

·       Coordinate shipments for import/export of batteries, recovered materials etc.

·       Know appropriate incoterms to mitigate risk during high stakes transport of volatile materials.

Customs Compliance & HS Classification

·       Know how to assign and verify HS codes for complex products

·       Interface with government agency for basel permits and Singapore Customs for strategic goods control.

·       Manage MSDS

Knowledge, Experience or Behaviour Required to Perform Job Well

·       Minimum of a professional diploma in any discipline.

·       At least 2 years of relevant experience in a similar logistics and/or customer service role.

·       Proven work experience and knowledge of import and export logistics and shipment handling.

·       Good communication skills and able to handle multi-level coordination.

·       Ability to quickly understand situations and achieve goals.
