Job Description

• Salary Package: Basic $1,800 - $2,500 + VB
• Duration: Permanent

Key Responsibilities

• Perform machining work according to drawing requirements using machine tools such as CNC lathe, milling machine, or grinding machine.
• Carry out dimensional measurement and visual inspection on completed parts to ensure they meet specifications, using tools such as micrometers, height gauges, vernier calipers, and bore gauges.
• Set up parts on machines, including aligning and securing fixtures, preparing cutting tools, retrieving CNC programs, securing parts for machining, and qualifying parts for production.
• Monitor machining parameters such as feed, speed, and cutting tool life during the machining process, and provide suggestions to reduce cycle time.
• Observe any abnormal machine behaviour during machining and report issues to the department supervisor for follow-up action.
• Perform basic machine maintenance, such as refilling spindle oil, slide-way lubricating oil, removing metal chips inside the machine, and maintaining the tool magazine.
• Clean machines, equipment, and work areas regularly, and maintain good housekeeping standards.

• ITE / Nitec in Precision Engineering or at least 2 years of hands-on machining experience.
• Able to work rotating shifts.
• Knowledge of Fanuc, Mazatrol, or Heidenhain programming language will be an advantage.
