Job Description

• Position Title: Manufacturing Engineer
• Working Location: East - MacPherson
• Working Hours: 5 days (Monday to Friday, 8.30AM – 6PM)
• Salary Package: Basic $4,000 – $5,000 + AWS + Variable Bonus
• Duration: Permanent

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the technical aspects of manufacturing medical contract assembly (MCA) products.
• Install, qualify, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair equipment used to manufacture MCA products.
• Prepare and implement standard work instructions for equipment installation, qualification, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair.
• Assist the Supervisor and/or Lead Person on technical matters related to the manufacturing process.
• Ensure equipment is properly set up or changed over to support high productivity.
• Carry out preventive maintenance according to the corporate preventive maintenance programme.
• Recommend and implement improvements to reduce production interruptions.
• Monitor tooling and equipment and work with the Production Manager to reduce downtime and improve manufacturing efficiency.
• Support the development, manufacturing, and completion of new product prototypes and sample lots with the Engineering and R&D teams.
• Set up, troubleshoot, document, and qualify processes used for new medical prototypes and sample lots.
• Liaise with the Corporate technical team to resolve technical issues and support new product development when required.
• Ensure critical spare parts and production consumables for machines are maintained at a safe stock level.
• Support troubleshooting for satellite manufacturing sites when local technicians are unable to resolve equipment issues.
• Operate toolroom equipment when required.
• Supervise technicians assigned to the Medical Contract Assemblies department across all shifts in Singapore.
• Ensure technicians receive the required training and support to complete their work.
• Support recruitment, training, work planning, task assignment, performance review, employee guidance, and work-related issue resolution.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Production Manager.

• Minimum Diploma in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• 4 - 10 years of relevant experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge or experience in machine automation and PLC.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Hands-on skills in machine installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.
