Mechanical Project Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a proactive and technically competent Mechanical Engineer to support and manage engineering projects from design through execution. The ideal candidate should possess strong project coordination capabilities, technical problem-solving skills, and hands-on engineering knowledge within manufacturing, precision machining, automation, or industrial environments.

The candidate will work closely with customers, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure successful project delivery within timeline, quality, and budget requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the main technical liaison between customers, subcontractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders
• Review project specifications, technical documents, and engineering requirements
• Understand customer needs and provide suitable engineering and technical solutions
• Perform design, detail engineering, and prepare engineering drawings/documentation
• Prepare and manage AutoCAD 2D/3D drawings and modelling
• Coordinate engineering design, drafting, fabrication, and project execution activities
• Monitor project schedules, progress, and deliverables to ensure timely completion
• Coordinate logistics, manpower, and onsite project activities
• Ensure projects are delivered within budget, timeline, and quality expectations
• Maintain project documentation, reports, and engineering databases
• Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders on technical matters
• PLC-related project works when required
• Perform hydrostatic pressure testing and pneumatic pressure testing
• Ensure compliance with company standards, safety requirements, and project procedures
• Assist in improving project management processes and operational workflows
• Work closely with management and cross-functional teams on project planning and execution

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline
• Minimum 2–5 years of relevant project engineering or mechanical engineering experience
• Proficient in AutoCAD 2D/3D drafting and modelling
• Experience in project coordination and technical documentation
• PLC systems is a good to have
• Familiar with hydrostatic and pneumatic pressure testing processes
• Strong problem-solving and technical troubleshooting skills
• Able to work independently and manage multiple projects concurrently
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills
• Hands-on, proactive, and detail-oriented personality
